About Japan 301
Clear messages. Better connections.
Japan 301 helps organizations, independent professionals and project holders explain what they do more clearly. The goal is simple: to make services, products, projects or initiatives easier to understand, easier to present and easier to share with the right audience.
Communication for websites, social media, print and events
Not every project needs the same kind of communication.
Some organizations need a clearer website or a simple landing page. Others mainly communicate through Instagram, LinkedIn, flyers, posters, brochures, events, presentations or direct contact with clients and partners.
Japan 301 helps choose, improve or create the communication materials that make sense for each situation.
This can include website content, social media posts, campaign visuals, newsletters, presentation documents, brochures, flyers, posters, kakemono, portfolios, event materials or simple communication kits.
The objective is not to push one specific format, but to help each project communicate in a clearer, more coherent and more professional way.
Practical and creative support
Japan 301 also provides simple creative support when a project needs visual consistency.
This may include creating or improving basic visual elements, adapting an existing logo to different uses, preparing banners, social media visuals, presentation layouts, print-oriented drafts or visual supports for events.
This creative support is practical and accessible. It is not positioned as full-scale branding or advanced graphic design, but as a useful layer of communication to make a project easier to recognize, understand and present.
When more advanced design or technical production is needed, Japan 301 can help clarify the direction and prepare the project for the next step.
Support that can also happen on the ground
Japan 301’s support is not limited to preparing communication materials from a distance.
When the project requires it, support can also include practical on-site assistance: welcoming visitors, helping international participants, supporting cultural or tourism-related events, assisting with basic logistics, observing how audiences react, or creating simple photo and video content for follow-up communication.
This type of field support is not the main focus of Japan 301, but it can be useful for projects where communication, visitor experience and real-life interaction are closely connected.
Japan as a field of specialization
Bruce ARGUEL’s interest in Japan and knowledge of the country began well before his first experiences there, developing through many years of personal interest, learning and exploration of Japanese culture, society and everyday practices.
This knowledge was later strengthened by more than two years spent in Japan in total, including a long-term period of study in Kyoto, together with practical experience in education, tourism, hospitality, events, communication and e-commerce.
His experience includes French conversation support, airport welcome and travel assistance, event logistics, photo and video support, hotel-related translation and communication support, hostel operations, children’s activity facilitation and Japan-related e-commerce.
This field experience is especially valuable for projects where communication is connected to real situations: welcoming visitors, explaining local services, supporting events, helping participants, or understanding how international audiences react on site.
It gives Japan 301 a practical understanding of how Japanese organizations, places, services, products and cultural initiatives can be presented to French-speaking, European and international audiences.
Japan 301 can help make Japan-related projects easier to understand by adding clarity, context and cultural sensitivity.
Who Japan 301 can support
Japan 301 can support a wide range of organizations and projects.
This includes small businesses, independent professionals, artists, associations, schools, cultural organizations, local initiatives, shops, product makers, service providers, e-commerce projects, event organizers and organizations that need clearer communication materials.
Japan 301 is also particularly relevant for Japanese and Japan-related organizations, such as tourism boards, cities and regions, Japanese language schools, cultural organizations, artisans, shops, product makers, travel-related services, relocation services, events and projects connected to Franco-Japanese or international exchange.
Whether the project is directly related to Japan or not, the objective remains the same: to make the message clearer, the offer easier to understand and the communication more useful for the people it is meant to reach.

Founder — Bruce ARGUEL
Japan 301 was founded by Bruce ARGUEL, a web and digital communication professional with more than twenty years of experience.
Before creating Japan 301, his career included a wide range of communication and marketing environments, from smaller organizations to projects involving nationally and internationally recognized brands such as Orange, Nespresso, Lacoste, Carrefour and Meilleurtaux.com.
This experience covered website and content management, digital communication, user experience, accessibility, e-commerce and project support, often bridging the gap between communication objectives and their practical implementation.
His long-standing interest in Japan was later strengthened by more than two years spent in the country, Japanese-language study and practical experience with local organizations, events and projects.
Japan 301 now brings these two dimensions together: solid professional communication experience and knowledge of Japan developed both over time and through direct experience.
